Our Favorite Supplies for Place Mats

Here's a list of the materials and tools we use to make the Easter Egg Place Mats.

Fabrics: We used Riley Blake's Confetti Cotton solid fabric to make the place mats. Consider choosing a fun spring print for the backing, so the place mats are reversible when the holiday is over! We chose a bright floral from the Bunny Trail collection for our backing.

Hera Marker: A hera marker makes it easy to mark your place mat for quilting. We use our hera markers to mark quilting lines on our quilts and diagonal lines on triangle-squares, too!

Air-Erasable Marker: Mark cutting or sewing lines on fabric with this fine-tip fabric marker. The marked lines will disappear naturally after a few days or you can use the eraser to get rid of the marks immediately.

50 wt. Aurifil Thread: This 100%-cotton thread is low-lint and comes in a variety of colors. We suggest getting a neutral color (such as white or cream) that will blend with a variety of colors, so you don't need to switch thread between projects.

Wonder Clips: This pin alternative holds bulky layers in place and is easy to remove when sewing. You can also use these clips to hold binding in place while sewing!
