There's nothing better than combining your love of sewing with your love of reading! If you're a booklover, consider adding book-theme fabric to your projects to create beautiful and meaningful quilts. I've pulled together some of my favorite book-theme fabrics from the past few years to share with you (I'll check periodically to add new fabric collections and remove any that are out of print).
If you're making my Book Club Quilt, these fabrics are great choices for your blocks, book pages, and backing! Have a fave book fabrics not listed here? Tell us in the comments, so we can add it!
Fabrics Based on Classic or Popular Books
We made the version of our Book Club quilt shown above using the Pride & Prejudice fabric collection listed below. Choosing a line based off books you love can add an extra special touch to your quilt and invite others to take a closer look at your fabrics! Here are a few current fabric collections featuring motifs from popular books!

Basic Text Fabric for Book Quilts
If you're looking for basic word- or text-theme fabric to use in your book blocks, these are fun options! Ranging from more subtle tone-on-tone prints to prints with messages to share, these fabrics add style to your quilt without being overwhelming.

And if you want text and typewriter basics in your quilt with a variety of colors, try the Type-Ography collection by Lori Holt for Riley Blake Designs.
Book- and Reading-Theme Fabric
While some of these fabrics might be too large or patterned to use in smaller book blocks, they would be perfect for fussy-cutting in your blocks or even to use as backing fabric!
