Combine sweet and juicy watermelon with spicy jalapeno and refreshing lime juice for a margarita that packs a punch! This drink is refreshing but follows with a little heat -- just like a summer day at the pool. Plus, this is easy to make in large batches for your next summer barbecue!
Ingredients
Servings: 1 drink
1/2 cup silver tequila
1/2 cup watermelon puree
1 lime
1/2 cup sugar (for simple syrup)
1/2 cup water (for simple syrup)
1 jalapeno
Directions
To make watermelon puree, blend watermelon chunks until smooth. Strain to remove seeds and pulp.
To make jalapeno simple syrup, simmer 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 water, and jalapeno slices in a pot on the stove until sugar is dissolved. (This makes enough for 8 servings. Store in the fridge.)
Pour 1/2 cup silver tequila, 1/2 cup watermelon puree, a splash of jalapeno simple syrup, and juice from one lime over ice. Mix together and add jalapeno slices for extra spice.
I hope you enjoy this cocktail recipe as much as I did! If you make it, please share it on social media using the hashtag #HHSCocktail, so I can virtually cheers you!
